Guillaume de Machaut

Arr. Alexander Burdiss

For four trombonesPerformance time: approx. 2:00

Machaut is known as one of the most important composers of the 14th century. The rich sororities and beautiful melodic line are what make this work so appealing to both the perfomers and audience alike. This early work would be a great addition to any recital, and would work extremely well with a trio of sackbuts.

For this edition, the traditional notation has been modernized, and certain edits have been made to make the work more suitable for the contemporary tenor trombone.
